The apple is red, shiny, exactly the kind of apple an Addams does not want in his backyard.
Mozzie’s entire being is concentrated on it, both body and spirit; one of his eyes is pressed into a tight squint so he can take aim more correctly.
Pugsley is grinning at him from his position at the old oak tree. “The purpose of target practice is to actually shoot the target!”
Mozzie only laughs, and let's the bowstring go.
The arrow whizzes through the air with a high-pitched sound and it hits the apple spot on, splitting it on Pugsley’s head.
